Concrete Block Walls

Concrete block is the workhorse of masonry: strong, economical and adaptable. A block wall can stand alone as a garage or foundation wall, carry a stucco or stone veneer finish, or be dressed up with decorative split-face and architectural units.

We build block walls with the right footing, reinforcing steel and grout fill, then finish them as you like, with stucco, parging, stone veneer or paint. Nashville projects often include foundation walls, retaining walls and outbuildings, and we plan drainage and structure into each one.

Is block stronger than brick?

Reinforced, grouted block walls are very strong. They serve different roles, and many walls combine block with a brick or stone face.

Do tall block walls need engineering?

Retaining and tall walls often do and may need permits. We tell you when a structural engineer should be involved.

Can block be made to look nicer?

Yes. Stucco, stone veneer, brick veneer and decorative block all dress it up.
